The UAI Phenomenon

Masha Allah a huge crowd last night at Dataran Merdeka Shah Alam for Countdown 2012, it's a new Islamic way of celebrating new year which attended by almost 70 000 audience as what the emcees has announced. I was really impressed and proud to be part of the crowd. There were Akhil Hayy, Shahir AF, Sham Kamikaze, Imam Muda Ashraff and Dakmie to liven up the event but of course the main attention of the night was *drum roll* Ustaz Azhar Idrus (UAI) ! Alhamdulilah, I've watched him on youtube, been to his lecture twice and always look forward to another lecture by him. I love his lecture, the way he approach young people and he knows where and when to mix his lecture with some witty jokes that everyone can understand. I'm sure everybody agrees UAI is a phenomenon!

But last night was not the usual lecture by UAI instead it was more on Islamic entertainment in which UAI was on the stage with the comedian, Zizan Raja Lawak for soal jawab session. All the questions read by Zizan were totally out of topic and hilarious but UAI response with his smile and calmly answer all 12 questions by giving a very clear answer with jokes that makes everyone amused. I'm pretty sure these two will make such a perfect combo for Maharaja Lawak! :D :D UAI can also play guitar beb!!! He is so cool ^_^

No party, no fascinating fireworks, no counting down before the clock strikes twelve. All the typical ways of celebrating new year was replaced with audience, entertainer together with all the VIPs sing Asmaul-Husna and ended the event with doa recited by UAI. It was amazing, Masha Allah. To be with all this 'baik-baik' people celebrating new year in a very Islamic way is such a special moment for me. I'm really thankful and happy for this opportunity. May Allah bless and rewards those who involve in organizing this event, InsyaAllah, Aminn :D

Alhamdulilah, all praises to Allah, for He has giving me the chance to attend and be part of the participants in lots of Islamic event where I could actually see the rise of the ummah who truly love Islam and always struggle to be a better Muslim everyday. I love to see all the Muslim gather together in an event that discuss about the beautiful of Islam and Allah rather than having the judgmental and negative thoughts with each other just because of the differences of political view. We shall respect everyone's view and opinion but when it comes to Islam, we are the same, we are one, we are the ummah of Muhammad SAW, and we need to get together to spread the beautiful of Islam as Islam is not just a religion, it is a way of life. So let's play our role as khalifah of Allah by sharing knowledge, apply the Al-Quran and Sunnah in our life and improve ourselves to create a fully and truly Islamic world, InsyaAllah :D
